Five men spend their days in a bar called The Ice House,
each with their own trouble, but each with a dream; one
says he's going to get his job back in which he's fired,
another says he's going to get his wife back in which
he's divorced, another says he's going to get his business
back in which he's lost gambling, another says he's going
to re-enroll in the army where he's been dishonorably
discharged, and finally, there is the bartender and the
owner of the bar, who dreams of staring in a play on
Broadway, but has never stepped out of the bar since he
had inherited it from his father ten years ago; a tale
of self-delusion and pipe dreams essential to maintain
the will to live; when the bartender decides that it's
time to go out and fulfill his dream, there's a
possibility that he won't be good enough; and what if
he isn't, does he have the will to live with himself when
he doesn't have any more dreams left?
