A brother and sister meet at a small rural airport to drive back to their childhood home, two and a half hours away. They haven't seen each other in more than five years and haven't been home in more than ten years. Their last remaining parent, their mother, just passed away, and they're going home to attend her services. When they arrive, they find that not much has changed; that's because they've gone back in time, back to when their parents were still alive, and all three of their children were living in the home. They can't interact with the past; they're like an audience at a play. At first, they wanted to stay for the memories they had forgotten. But as time goes by, concerns begin to emerge as events are viewed from an adult perspective instead of a child. The memory is painful and difficult to see, but they can't leave; the car won't start. They are forced to remain, the past begins to haunt them, terrible family secrets are exposed, the truths they've kept their whole life are questioned, and discoveries start a descent into madness. They had known for years that their younger sister had died when she fell down the basement stairs. Seeing it with their own eyes, they discover that their father killed her and that their mother covered it up. As the sad truth rears its ugly head, guilt, hatred, and rage fill their hearts. The siblings learn that they can interact somewhat with this reality, but only when they do it together. They plot to kill their father; why else have they been cast into this hell? As they put their plan into action, they accidentally set fire to the house, killing the entire family. Here they remain, trapped in an abandoned house forever, with no way to return to the present.
