It's the end; you both know it. You hardly spend much time together, you've become roommates who occasionally have sex, and on rare occasions that you go out together, she's aloof and distant. One night, you wake up to hear her whispering into her phone downstairs, you start to think she's cheating. That's it; you’re going to break it off this Friday, you've had enough of forcing this relationship. You show up at seven o'clock at the restaurant when you agreed to meet. She never came, so you pay the tab and go home; Saturday morning, she never returned to the apartment. Did she know what was coming? You call her later in the day, straight to the voicemail, is she in trouble? You call her friends, and they haven't seen her for months; what's going on here? There is no support from the police; there is not enough evidence to launch an investigation. So, you begin to retrace her last known whereabouts; what started as a dinner to try and end the relationship will require you to dig deeper into the life of a woman you find out you never knew that well at all.
