There is a fine line between someone who is passionate and emotionally unstable. Tegan has started a relationship with Roger using an online dating site. Roger has made her feel like the queen of the universe for about a month. An endless ocean of gifts, trips, and love. After a month, though, she saw a slight difference in him; he started to act jealous, needy, and entitled. His tone was, "don't you remember all the stuff I gave and did for you?" Within a few weeks, the relationship soured, and Tegan felt like they were beginning to fall apart. She was going to break things off after a music festival they had already reserved tickets for this weekend. The festival was a nightmare, with Roger yelling at Tegan for talking to an old college friend, tossing her drink out because "you're a whore when you drink," and when Tegan's seat is next to a good looking man, Roger takes a swing at him after a bit of flirting is detected. Roger gets thrown out of the festival by security and threatens Tegan, "the tab has come due on all the things I've done for you, you ungrateful bitch!" Roger leaves Tegan without a car at the festival. They don't see each other for about a week, but one night, Roger appears staring at her through a window in the middle of the night. Freaked out, Tegan gets a restraining order; from there, things escalate; she starts seeing him out of the corner of her eye, her social media is hacked, and her belongings start to become vandalized. She finds out that Roger is a psychotic, recently released from a mental institution and intends to murder her.
